Small projects

Hardwood and Corten by the Common.

We used strong contrasts of colour and texture to create a stunning modern look in a small area on two levels. The upper level includes provision for a future outdoor kitchen.

White painted walls, dark Ipe hardwood decking and seating, polished concrete paving and artificial grass combine to produce a classic contemporary scheme. Stainless steel and Corten bring sparkle to the scene.

The high level dark green Taxus hedge provides a soft background with mixed luxuriant planting filling the three raised planting beds. An Acer was planted to grow as a canopy over the path leading to the top of the garden. The tree fern, Box balls and wilder ferns create an exotic look.

The Corten steel water feature was bespoke for the garden. With twin 900mm long water blades flowing into a concealed below ground pool the sound of running water masks the sound of distant traffic. Garden lighting and automatic irrigation complete the scheme.
