A welcoming outdoor space in Hampstead Garden Suburb.
A classic garden given a modern touch. Building an extension had destroyed the original terrace and the owners wanted to replace the terrace, and add a modern touch to their garden.
We proposed a design using light grey sawn sandstone framed with granite setts to blend with the classic Lutyens design of the house and to introduce a contemporary look to the garden. We added a black sphere as a focal point which brought the soothing sound of running water.
At the end of the garden several large dark pink rhododendrons partially obscured the view. To create a dense hedge and increase privacy we added additional large plants in a similar colour.
