We offer a complete beginning to end service to turn your ideas into reality: from the first conversations, evolving of a design, choosing materials and plants, the clearance, the construction and on to the final planting.
We’re creating your garden, not ours, so you will be involved at every stage but we will do the work of bringing it to life.

Robert has has been in the industry for many years and brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity and project management skills to his daily work.
Robert has built an impressive portfolio of work. He has developed an individual style creating various schemes from modern urban garden design with an emphasis on clean simple geometric design to traditional gardens.
Married for 34 years Robert is a car enthusiast, he loves travel and his winter hobby is a large model railway.
Ian grew up loving plants and gardens; and took ownership of his family’s greenhouse when he was 11 years old. After studying Horticulture, he spent a year travelling and worked on gardens in New Zealand before returning home where he joined a successful landscaping company in west London before joining Robert in 2006.
He enjoys tackling the challenges of landscaping, getting his hands dirty and running projects that turn ideas and plans into reality. In his words “building gardens for people; nothing better”.
In his spare time Ian is a keen gardener, he loves being outdoors, walking, biking, travelling, open water swimming and is a keen paddle-boarder.
Ken has worked as a Landscaper for over 16 years and is a valued member of the Ian James team. He has an eye for detail and a ‘can do’ approach to his work. He has worked in both commercial and private landscapes and holds various horticultural qualifications.
Dave has worked for Ian James Landscapes for almost seven years and brings a wealth of experience having worked for various landscaping companies across London and the south east. Always with a positive attitude, Dave is a valued member of the team.
